Day 58 - June 19, 2012 (Episode 10: The Finals!)

One of the Viking Ships from the Viking Museum!
Today was a nice relaxing day.  I got up at 9:30 and had breakfast, followed by a quick run to a couple stores to find a couple more gifts.  At 11:00, Johnathan, Jessica and I went to the Viking Ship Museum.  They had 3 ships that they recovered from different burial sites.  Really cool stuff!  After that, we met for lunch at 3:00 and had a nice meal at a pretty cool spot.  Finally, we jumped on a bus to go to what will be our last destination!

While taking a walk around the piers of Tjøme, we stopped and had
Johnathan pose so we could snap a photo that might be used
in a future calendar on J-Nation.com!
A couple of hours later, we arrived at our last stop, a southern town called Tjøme.  It’s a very cool town and sits right next to a fjord.  Not sure how they’re going to wrap up this season, but this seems like a great location to do so!  We did dinner at 8:30 and followed that with some great information.  Apparently, we will do one elimination challenge each day over the next three days, to get down to our final winner.  The catch this season is that you still get to stay with the rest of the group until the end of the show!!  We are all guaranteed to be here for at least 3 more days!!  Very cool!  Plus, icing on top of that is that they informed us that our first elimination challenge would be a physical one!  Knowing my competition, I like those odds!
That’s about it for today.  We watched a soccer game and then headed to bed.  Time to get some sleep so I’m ready for tomorrow’s challenge.

Day 58 Over!!

Another ship at the Viking Museum.

What an incredible design!

One of the artifacts found buried with the Viking ship.

Look at the incredible detail!

On our ferry ride back to Oslo, we sat with
some local school kids. Finally, someone who
speaks Norske at our level!
When I ran out of the words that I knew, I just
opted for funny faces. Seem to work.

Another possible shot for the J-Nation.com calendar!
