A look at my room for the night. A nice corner room and the great and unusual feeling of having a room to myself! |
After getting settled in at the hotel, we had a little downtime and then went out to dinner with the crew at a local restaurant in the mall. After dinner, a few of us decided to take a walk. On that walk we discovered something very interesting! We had heard about a special store window that we had to check out. Sure enough, there it was! Apparently, there were two stores that shared the same store window. Typically, this wouldn’t pose a problem. However, when one of the stores is an “adult-toy” store and the other is a costume shop specializing in kid’s costumes, the display comes off a little awkward. To have a display of sex toys right next to a kid-size-mannequin in a Batman costume should have set up some red flags to someone! Apparently, not in Bodø.
Sex toys to the left, kid's costumes to the right. Why wouldn't you put them in the same window display?! |

After dinner, half the crew and most of the cast watched the
finals of EuroVision, that European song contest, in the hotel lobby. We spent the next two hours taking in some
great and some absolutely crazy performances from several European
countries. It really was a lot of fun to
watch and a great idea for a show. The
U.S. should do something like this.
Maybe a competition between the 50 states!
The Russian performers for Eurovision! |
When it was all said and done, Sweden’s performance of a
song called Euphoria had won as we predicted and were hoping would happen,
since it was our favorite song while we were there. We had a quick celebration then called it a
night. After that, up to enjoy some
peace in my own room.

A shot of Alf walking through Bodø. There
was a stong breeze that almost gave us a
shot of everything Alf has to offer!
